Parker Tree Service is now located in Springfield, Missouri.

Who is Parker Tree Service?

I’m Jamin Parker Mayer, the owner and operator of Parker Tree Service (established in 2002).  My family and I moved to Springfield from Longmont, Colorado for both business and personal reasons.  One of the reasons for moving out here was to divest away from the larger & stressful way of doing business. Another reason to move here is to be with my family more often.  By choice, I operate with very little overhead which means my rates can be highly flexible, negotiable & competitive for your benefit.

What’s different about Parker Tree Service?

  • Who you see is who you will interact with and do the work for you. I offer you my expertise, reputation, and service in a professional manner.
  • I was called to be in the tree care industry back in 2001. I’ve been in the tree care industry since then.
  • My credentialing is from the International Society of Arboriculture. I’ve been a member since 2002.
  • Certified Arborist since 2006. You can verify my credentialing here.
  • I am a Tree Risk Assessor. Though I let my “official” qualification lapse recently, I still view trees from a “Risk Assessor’s” point of view.
  • The emphasis of my tree care services is to reduce tree-related risks through the practice of “structure pruning“. Structure pruning is for both young trees and mature trees.  The approach and purpose of structure pruning young and mature trees changes, but in essence, the overall purpose is to greatly reduce the risk of large tree failure(s), a.k.a. breakage.
  • Therefore, many people think a tree needs to be cut down, but you would be surprised; with objective industry experience, a tree can often be preserved through preventative tree maintenance (structure pruning).  With this said, you can save a lot of money by maintaining your tree(s) vs. cutting them down and tree replacement.
  • In addition, I specialize in tree diagnosis. This is a skill that I have enhanced through decades of experience and industry research. I can help with an objective, professional opinion what to do with a struggling tree.
  • Certainly; I offer tree removal service, when needed. I specialize in tight area/technical tree removals; especially where a lift cannot access. My customers find I can be highly cost-effective to safely dismantle a tree and let the property owner deal with the disposal and ground clean-up.  Believe it or not, I can also do large, multi-tree removal projects with this method above.
  • My storm damage response time is fast.  I can typically respond the same day or the next business day.

What does our typical tree operation look like?

  • I am totally prepared to dispose of the tree debris, but I would like you to consider my cost-saving flexible options.
  • If you elect to have me do disposal and ground clean-up, I can still reduce cost to you by not hauling away. I’ll explain.  I use a tiny wood chipper to process small branches into mulch.  This tiny wood chipper allows me to bring the chipper to the actual tree I work on, and process the debris at the tree.  This saves steps which means it is super efficient.  This also means I can spread mulch around critical root zone of the tree I work on. I don’t always need to haul it away.  Lastly, this also implies I don’t need to have a crew to work with me to process tree debris.
  •  Anything larger than 3″ in diameter I cut into firewood length and I can leave for your needs (such as firewood). l Note; I do not split logs.
  • I typically stack the logs near the tree operations.
  • Overall, the cost savings options above can be a quieter operation and add value back to you, your trees, and your land.  I like to think ecologically, whenever possible.

Meet Jamin.

Hi. I’m Jamin Parker Mayer.   This is an actual “about us” page to get to know my family and me.

Back in 2001, I had an odd, divine calling to get into the tree care industry.  Through answered prayer, I knew I was to work with trees my entire career.

Small fact: My first-born son is named Parker.  I directly named the business after my son Parker. When deciding the new business name I thought to myself, “What is my motivation?”  I looked down at Parker and my purpose was to support a 1-year-old.  So, I named the business after Parker!

I’m 48.  My wife and I have 7 children and 3 grandchildren!  We have 3 adult boys out of the home and 4 girls still at home.

We moved to Springfield, Missouri to raise our daughters in a like-minded & family-friendly area.  We like to hike & walk together in the woods.  It’s fun to discover new plants, trees, & edibles!

Lastly, but most importantly:

I give thanks to the Utmost High Yah (Psalms 68:4 KJV) for His mercies.
